How to be smart about planning your party.

Booking the right entertainment is vital to a successful event, whether it's
a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Wedding, Sweet 16, Quinceanera, Corporate party,
Divorce party, or any party at all! First and foremost, your Emcee or Host
is a central component of a successful party. He needs to know how to read
your crowd and make sure everyone is engaged and having an amazing time.A
lot of money is being spent throwing this party, so it needs to be
unforgettable.

Plan early. Don't wait to secure the venue or to book entertainment. Bar
and Bat Mitzvah dates are commonly scheduled two to three years in advance.
The premier venues and the best emcees at the top entertainment companies
are booked very early!

You get what you pay for. When booking entertainment, don't look for
bargains. This is the most important part of the party, next to having
friends and family by your side. Save money in other areas. Having an
amazing time and dancing the hours away - that's what the guests will
remember. They are less likely to remember the table centerpieces. Don't get
me wrong, beautiful décor and decorations help set the perfect mood for the
party, but there are ways to be more cost effective in that area.

When using an event planner to book your entertainment, photographers, or any other
vendors, they always check the vendor's insurance. A
certificate of insurance provides verification of the insurance and usually
contains information on types and limits of coverage, insurance company,
policy number, named insured, and the effective periods. You never know what
may go wrong at an event. A simple check of insurance shouldn't take much
time, but it's an important part of planning an event. If planning an event without an event planner, this is a must do.

There are many variables involved in the planning of an event. You do your best to ensure success and make the guests, and yourself, happy. Despite the best plans and timelines, the unexpected can happen. A good event planner should have the experience and insight to handle any situation that may arise.
